Editing & response versions

Conversations in Insight AI aren’t fixed transcripts. You can revise your own messages and ask for new answers, and every alternative is kept as a version you can return to.

  1. Hover over your message and select Edit.
  2. Change the text inline, then select Save (or Cancel to discard).

Saving creates a new version of the conversation from that point: your edited message gets a fresh AI response, and everything that followed the original message is preserved on the previous version.

Hover over an AI message and select Regenerate. The model answers the same question again — useful when a response missed the point, or you simply want an alternative take. Each regeneration is stored as a sibling version of that response.

Wherever a message has more than one version, a pager like ‹ 1/2 › appears next to it. Use the arrows to flip between versions. The rest of the conversation follows along: switching a version also switches all the messages that came after it on that branch.

Nothing is lost when you edit or regenerate — earlier versions remain reachable through the pager.
